Merielle U. Macaraeg de Paz joined Fortra Law in July 2021. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Sociology, along with a minor in Asian American Studies.

As part of the Operations Team, Merielle specializes in optimizing processes that keep the firm running smoothly across its U.S. and international offices. She has led key initiatives such as transitioning HR and payroll systems and implementing firmwide workflow platforms. Her focus on efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience has strengthened Fortra Law’s operations and supported the firm’s growth.

Merielle’s contributions span the full scope of administrative and HR functions—including onboarding, payroll, compliance, and employee engagement. Her process-driven approach ensures seamless coordination, minimizes risks, and enhances both organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.

Outside of work, Merielle enjoys cooking, fishing, and spending time with her wife and their two dogs, Puzzle and Enzzo.
